We hired Cheryl to be our doula to support us with the birth of our daughter in 2012 and had such a positive birth experience that we asked if she would be our doula again for our second pregnancy and birth of our son in February 2015.
Cheryl was wonderfully supportive throughout the pregnancy, always readily available with helpful advice.
Once I was in labour and contacted Cheryl, she responded very quickly meeting us at the hospital to provide support through what was a short, although very intense active labour period. My baby was in a posterior position throughout my labour which meant that the pushing phase was particularly challenging. Cheryl's calm, knowing presence assisted us in remaining calm and relaxed and able to focus on drug-free pain management strategies. She worked very well with the midwife and obstetrician, creating a support team that ultimately enabled us to achieve our goal of a drug and intervention-free birth. As a result my birth experience was again a very positive one.
We would have no hesitation in recommending Cheryl as a doula. She has been a wonderful support to our family at such special times in our lives and we can't thank her enough.
